Sausage and Egg Bake

I mean who doesn’t love a breakfast filled with sausage, egg, pancakes, bacon or waffles? Breakfast has the potential to hit all the taste buds with it’s savory and sweet options.

This super simple sausage and egg bake certainly has you covered if you love savory recipes. The salty of the sausage and cheese definitely are complimented by the vegetables and eggs.

Now Let’s Cook

Start by browning the sausage. While your sausage is browning, chop your vegetables and grate your cheese.

Once your sausage is cooked, remove from the pan and put on a plate with a paper towel to soak up some of the grease.

Next spread evenly in a greased 13×9 baking dish. Then add your layer of vegetables.

Take your eggs and crack them into a bowl and mix well before pouring over your sausage and vegetables.

Finally sprinkle your cheese over the top and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz Ground Pork Sausage
  • 1/2 cup Green Bell Pepper Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Yellow Onion Chopped
  • 1/4 cup Mushrooms Chopped
  • 12 Eggs Mixed
  • 3 oz Cheddar Cheese Shredded – I used Kerrygold

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
  • Brown Sausage in skillet
  • While your sausage is browning, chop your vegetables and grate your cheese
  • After the sausage is cooked, transfer to a plate with paper towels to soak up some of the grease
  • Spread your cooked sausage evenly in a greased 13×9 baking dish
  • Sprinkle your chopped vegetables over the sausage
  • Scramble your eggs in a bowl and pour over the meat and vegetables
  • Lastly sprinkle your cheese on top
  • Bake uncovered for 30 minutes
